Banks
There are many banking institutions in Prashanti Nilayam, and many have ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) facilities. All ATM's in Prashanti Nilayam have security guards. State Bank of India has counters in the Ashram opposite the South Indian Canteen.
Money can be encashed at the State Bank of India, and most other banks in Puttaparthi. Some hotels, such as Sai Towers, also have Foreign Exchange facilities. Many banks have credit card facilities, and ATM's to make withdrawals, (VISA, Cirrus, Mastercard, etc) and some ATMs are available in Main Road and Gopuram Road.

General Hospital, Prashanti Nilayam
Inaugurated on October 4th 1956, this General Hospital was then, the only hospital in a 30 kilometre radius. The General Hospital has 80 beds, 2 Operation Theatres, 8 Wards (Pre and Post-operative), along with 7 Departments - General Medicine, General Surgery, Paediatrics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dentistry, Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
The General Hospital caters to local medical needs; there is a casualty ward, one dental chair. Devotees volunteer as doctors and nurses. Open daily. The Hospital closes every evening at 8PM. If devotees become seriously ill, then one other devotee or companion should attend to their washing, food and obtain the needful medicines from the medical stores. Phone 8555-287256

Maximum charge for Internet use in Puttaparthi Internet cafes is Rs 40 per hour; all internet cafes have Skype - however, due bandwidth availability, use of Skype is restricted from time to time. Headphones, and links to Russian and European language email services on the desktop. Quality of broadband connections is variable although often good. All internet cafes listed here sell peripheral hardware such as HDD, Memory sticks, memory cards and batteries for cameras, all at good price. New and second hand Computers and Laptops can also be purchased. Printing and scanning can also be done at most of these Internet Cafes. Printing generally costs Rs 5/- per page

In the ashram, there is a Sai Stationary store on the right hand side of the Supermarket, visible from the Bakery. This is on the ground level, outside the Supermarket. (You may need to look for this, it is at the SIDE of the Supermarket.)
In Prashanti Nilayam Township, there are many stationers and small stores which sell Sai related stationery and similar articles, such as argabattis, key chains, Pendants, rings, Japamalas, Audio and CD Cassettes, Photos and New Year Calendars, and similar types of Baba articles. Three large stores are shown below; dotted all over Prashanti Nilayam are many smaller, similar stores.
